VERIFIED 2026The Toluna Influencers app has a 4.0-star rating on Google Play from over 362,000 reviews and a 4.6-star rating on the App Store. But an independent analysis by JustUseApp found that 80.7% of users report negative experiences, with a trust score of just 19.3 out of 100. The app is functional but plagued by crashes, login issues, and survey errors.
VERIFIED 2026Toluna offers three reward categories: PayPal cash, gift cards, and charitable donations. Gift cards start at 30,000 points (~$10) and include Amazon, Tesco, M&S, and other major retailers. PayPal requires 63,000 points (~$30) in the US and UK, and 140,000 points (~€35) in Germany and France. Charitable donations have variable thresholds.
VERIFIED 2026The single most effective strategy on Toluna is completing your profile surveys and updating them every 6 months. A complete profile gets you matched to more surveys, reduces disqualifications, and earns you 100 points per profile survey completed. The second most effective strategy is avoiding "speed running" — completing surveys too fast triggers fraud flags and gets you disqualified.
VERIFIED 2026YouGov is the most reputable opinion research panel, used by media organisations and political parties. Toluna has more surveys available but a higher risk of account bans and data privacy controversies. Both pay £1–£2 per hour. YouGov is better for credibility and survey quality; Toluna is better for volume.
VERIFIED 202663,000 Toluna points are worth approximately $30 in PayPal cash. Gift cards start at 30,000 points (~$10). The exchange rate varies by region — in Brazil, 52,000 points = $6 PayPal; in the UK, 60,000 points = £10. The effective hourly rate for completing surveys is roughly $0.78 to $2.00 per hour.
VERIFIED 2026Toluna bans accounts for suspected fraud — not for requesting withdrawals. The most common triggers are VPN use, "speed running" through surveys, IP/country mismatches, and inconsistent demographic answers. When your account is banned, all accumulated points are forfeited and cannot be recovered in most cases.

VERIFIED 2026Prolific pays significantly more per hour — £9 to £15 compared to Toluna's £1 to £2. But Prolific has far fewer surveys available, and most are academic studies that require specific demographics. Toluna offers a much higher volume of surveys but at a fraction of the hourly rate.
VERIFIED 2026Toluna has a two-stage withdrawal process: up to 6 weeks for points to be credited after a survey closes, and up to 3 weeks for reward delivery after you request a redemption. Worst case: approximately 9 weeks from survey completion to reward in hand. PayPal requires 63,000 points (~$30) in most markets, while gift cards start at 30,000 points (~$10).
VERIFIED 2026Toluna is a legitimate survey platform that pays real money, but it's also one of the slowest-paying GPT sites still operating. With a payout threshold of 63,000 points (~$30) for PayPal in some markets, a payment cycle that can take up to 9 weeks from survey completion to reward delivery, and a real risk of account bans near payout, Toluna is best suited for patient users who treat it as a background task — not a primary earning platform.
